"There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved".
George Sand

Life has shown time and again that love is the unifier. Times have shown over and over that love is the decider. History have proven that love is the core. You cannot beat it because it is the essence of life. It remains a culture and an infallible trait to human existence. We are all wired to love and be loved. Martin Luther King Jr said "Love is the only force capable of turning an enemy into a friend". We are love-made.

The display of love transcends rules and bypasses protocols. I remember scenes where love rewrote the narrative and reared its head in spite of stringent setting. The typical 'Jack and Rose story' of Titanic shows how strong a love cord is. Similarly, the potency of a Confessor and the destiny of the Seeker can be compromised if love cames in-between them. Pardon my love for movies, Scriptures also record the strength of love - remember the sacrifice of Jacob for Rachael.

My emphasis today is to reiterate the fact that you can write your own love story. You are equipped to have a model love life. The movies have done theirs, do yours bit with a better understanding of Love. Some believe they aren't enabled to have an exceptional love life as seen in the lives of others who make headlines of long blissful love and marriage.. I indulge you to bury that thought. You are one of a kind. None has been like you on this planet and none can exactly mimic your makeup. You are here to fulfill purpose; don't accept anything less. Internalise the 3 guides below and gain ascendency in the display of your love.

1) You are complete in Christ:
There is nothing more you need to do to live out this truth. Only believe God's Word and live by it. The Scripture pens, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. You have been anointed to fullness and for your cup to overflow; allow this to settle in your spirit. You have what it takes to be lively, sociable and funny. You have what it takes to to be what you want and whom you choose to attract. You have what it takes to make a difference in the life of someone you love. You are complete.

2) Learn from Him:
Jesus Christ perfectly personifies love. His life was an array and a wholesome embodiment of love. He was a delight to behold, a helper, a friend and a Saviour. His coming and works were outbursts of his love for man. Ranging from washing his disciples feet (Jn 13:3-5), through to his many miracles (Jn 11:36;43, Mat 14:16) and his death on the cross (Mat 27:45-50), love informed them. We learn compassion, concern and care from Jesus. Emulate these sacrificial ideals.

3) Grow in love:
Growth is a characteristic of life. Anything that fails to grow will eventually die. Strengthen your love for God and others by exposing yourself to knowledge (Prov 24:3) and basking in grace (2 Tim 2:1). These are the amplifiers. Make it your priority to enrich your knowledge bank in as many ways possible. Ensure you also maximise the grace availed to you by being strong in faith, being in fellowship one with another and striving to express this love life. When you strive to be your best, you will be the best. Cheers!
