"It is better to be slow to anger than to be a mighty warrior, and the one who controls his temper is better than he who captures a city." - King Solomon

Gal. 5:22-23 (CEV)
God's Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways.

To be slow to anger means to be patient. I cannot but imagine how beautiful life will be when we learn to do it God's way. No matter who you are or have been and where you are or have been, each and everyone of us can use a little more patience and self control. Many people today attach great importance to things that are not really very important when put them into proper perspective. It is a misplacement of priority for us to celebrate power and achievement more than we celebrate the progress of our personal character. The truth remains that what we allow the nature of love accomplish in us is by far of greater value than any accomplishment we can have outdoors.

The most important victories are the ones we win in our own individual lives. Some people think their relationships will be better if they can only achieve more in their political pursuit, professional pursuit, career pursuit, business pursuit etc. But that's not necessarily true. Instead, your relationship will be happier and sweeter when you become a better you. Becoming a better you means allowing these great virtues seen in today's verse to be developed in your life. History has proven King Solomon right time and again that patience is truly better than power, and controlling one’s temper than capturing a city.

So, do not seek to become mighty, seek rather to become a patient person because that's how you unconsciously become truly mighty. Do not seek to rule over people, organisations, states etc. Seek rather to rule your own self well, then people will willingly offer themselves to you to lead them. Among other things, love's mission in your life is to improve you by making you patient and self controlled. When you're a patient and self controlled person, people and generations yet unborn will relentlessly celebrate you. Dear friend, yield to the Spirit of God as He trains you into becoming this kind of person. He will use LOVE ISSUES and several other ways. So, as much as you can follow these posts daily and immediately put into practice what you learn.

Keep Loving, Keep Living........LOVE ISSUES
