"Love is not about "It's your fault" but "I'm sorry". It's not "Where are you" but "I am right here". It's not "How could you" but " I understand". It's not "why aren't you here" but "I am thankful you are" - Unknown
Ecc 4:12 (MSG)
By yourself you're unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn't easily snapped.
Sometime ago I heard a seasoned renown teacher of God's Word say "Love is Work" and when I did I wondered to myself how that could be possible. But sometime after, a better understanding of what scriptures teach on love and relationships has so cleared the doubts I had in my mind after I heard that sermon. This is so because the principles that run the system of this world are most times in conflict with God's principles.
Take for instance, the world says when you love someone it's important you have sex with the person so you could really know them but God's Word says the opposite; it says if you love someone you are willing to wait till the appointed time for sex, which is marriage. And so my friend, choosing to love comes with the understanding that you ought to devote yourself to this responsibility more than any other thing you can think of. For constant fun in your relationship, you need to see that constant work is involved, just as having a beautiful garden involves constant work of pruning and caretaking.
Let me attempt to paint a picture of some of the work required in loving your partner and/or others. As you walk in love, you do not take pleasure in casting blames. Rather you are quick to apologise when you err. Love makes you make yourself more available than the other person does. When you operate in love you do not wait to be treated right before you treat others right. Love makes you seek to give more. When you walk in love you bear with people/your partner, you show understanding when they fall shortand believe they will do much better eventually.
Keep Loving, Keep Living..........LOVE ISSUES
