Eph 5:24-25
24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything. 25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her .


It is said that one of the striking impacts that divorce has had on young adults and teenagers is that it has made them have goals of being married someday and having the same spouse for life. That I must say is a commendable decision to make but that goal is not sufficient in itself to bring about the desired result of a happy life-long companionship with the same person. Providing the right (godly) wisdom that would supply the required knowledge in the minds and hearts of these young ones is what will give them the strength of character and the support system needed to make their goals a reality. I hope this post and indeed all what LOVE ISSUES stands for provides you with this godly wisdom.

While I was listening to an audio on relationships, it suddenly dropped in me the reason why I had to use the opening verse for today's quote. In the in-depth settlement and understanding of this verse of scripture in our thought system lies the magic of love. Receiving the understanding that this portion of scripture gives will make your relationship beautiful and a delight in amazing ways that seem strange to what the norm is today. If I will add to today's quote, I'll say you do not need to look around you and see a couple in their old age first before you know true love exists. If there's no such example around you, decide to be the example that others will refer to because as long as the wisdom provided in God's Word lasts, true love exists and as long as there is God, true love exists. Believe it because the Word of God says so. Love is not for the faint hearted. It's for the brave.

Love is vital for keeping two persons together all their lives but the portion of scripture we're considering today speaks about another necessary virtue called respect. It should be noted though that the respect a woman gives to a man (submission) is as good and equal to the love he gives to his woman. If you desire that your wife submit to you very much, then love her very much. If you desire that your husband love you very much, then submit to him very much. Notice God didn't ask husbands to love their wives and wives to love their husbands too. He made humans and He understands the different makeup of men and women. What God says here gives us the panacea that makes marriage relationships last as He planned. So, man decide to shower your lady with so much love and she would do anything for you. Likewise woman respect and do that which pleases your man and you'll experience surprising wonders all the way.
