"Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings." - AnaĂŻs Nin

1 John 4:7-9 (NLT)
7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.

"We can't continue living like this'',Tosin said under her breath. She was so fed up of her husband's lack of love and affection. She had tried and done everything possible for the past nine years of their marriage to make it work but to no avail and all she wanted now was for them to go their separate ways, after all that was the same thing Lawrence wanted. He saw no need to continue with their fruitless marriage. Hmmn... It's rather sad how people are quick to throw in the towel when they are faced with challenges in their relationship/ marriage. They forget that the marriage vows are the seal of a covenant. The problem is that most persons get married with a selfish idea of love. They come into marriage to get, not to give. They come in to be served rather than too serve.

Marriage is God's idea. It is ignited by a set of vows that should be made from the standpoint of true love which never dies. True love does not expire. True love is eternal; it lives on and on. It is not as the natural human love that is around for just a while or that which that gets so passionate and drowsy with crushes that only last for a couple of years and then disappear like a puff of smoke in the air. True love isn't short-lived. No,a thousand times no. Marriage isn't for people who fell in love and want to live happily ever after. It's for two people who choose to love each other knowing that the feelings of love are not enough to keep a marriage but the choice to stay together, loving and submitting to each other come what may.

The way to replenish love is to keep our eyes on the unending love of God Himself. We must keep Christ at the centre, for He is the epitome of true love. He alone can teach us by His Spirit how to continue in love. Yes, I know it isn't easy at all as some very challenging times could come but true love isn't true love until it is tested, tried and pushed to the wall. Dear one perhaps today's message is speaking about what you're battling with, I want you to know that true love never fails. True love never dies. It only "seem as though" it dies when we start focusing on all the hurts, pains and negative things around. What actually dies or wanes isn't true love but our yieldedness to it. Whatever you are facing can be swallowed up and your relationship/marriage can be a haven of bliss. It might take only you at first to take the bull by the horn and cause a change, yeah true, but you just continue to love unconditionally, pray about all issues and be patient. Love will give you the victory. Love is the greatest.
