"Love seeks one thing only: the good of the one loved. It leaves all the other secondary effects to take care of themselves. Love, therefore, is its own reward." -Thomas Merton
Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
There are a lot of truths about life that you can glean from the experiences and stories of others. One sure way to glean these truths is by considering the words of some persons who have lived ahead of us. When one's mind is stayed on the Word of God, your spirit immediately bears witness when you hear a right quote. Here at LOVE ISSUES, in the quotes we share, we help to bring you life-changing truths which are consistent with the wisdom of God. One very instructive quote you might have come across before is this: "If education is too expensive, then try ignorance." You and I know that education has evolved over the years. It is what's responsible for all the advancement in technology which has made it possible for all the social media that have made communication easier and smoother.
Today you can keep close tabs with almost anybody anywhere in the world. My point is we all went to school, for as many of us whose parents could afford to give us good education. We got out with various degrees which has enabled us to get our various jobs which serve as one of the channels through which we have God supply our daily bread. Thank God for good education! Have you ever imagined what life would have been like if we were not educated? Pretty bad, I'm sure. Education has brought us development. Ignorance would have cost us a whole lot more than education has. Same thing applies to us all when it comes to love and relationships. A lot of people think love just happens; they think they are somehow automatically equipped with all that's required to make a relationship/marriage successful because they watch soaps or get inspirations from movies. As interesting as that may sound, the truth remains that each one needs to learn what the creator of love proposed love to be.
Only by getting educated in His intention can one have a successful love life. To truly love someone is to put their interest before yours, making them feel very special and know beyond any doubt that they're special. To love is to serve. That's what our quote today says. When you invest yourself wholeheartedly into loving the other person, without thinking of what your immediate gain would be but rather focusing on the good of the other and serving him/her everything they deserves to have, be rest assured that you'll definitely get back as a reward more love because you gave love relentlessly. The love that will come back to you as a result of the love you pour into the other person, will be more than you ever gave out. Remember that love is about pleasing the other person before yourself. Love means you continue loving even when your spouse seems to be out of virtue, out of character, finances, ideas and even when they lose their beautiful shape. True love isn't a trophy one gets after completing a 100-meter dash; true love is a journey which brings an immeasurable reward of good things, here in this life and in that which is to come, upon the one who lives this life of love.
Keep Loving, Keep Living...............LOVE ISSUES
