"Love is not a place to come and go as we please, it's a
house we enter in and then commit to never leave" - Warren Barfield
Mark 10:29-30 (NLT)
29 “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who
has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or
property, for my sake and for the Good News, 30 will receive now in return
a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and
property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have
eternal life.
'If the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable',
this was one quote I always heard as a young aspiring leader. Those placed
above us would sing it in our ears hoping it would get into our hearts, and I
thank God it did. Unfortunately, like putting the cart before the horse, some
people have chosen to put pleasure before purpose in making some very important
decisions in their lives, forgetting that we are products of our choices.
No matter how awesome they seem while they last, the feelings of
pleasure are fleeting (temporary and short-lived) but the satisfaction of
purpose is for a lifetime, ever green and enduring. True love places purpose
before pleasure. This is the mentality of Love. If you choose to follow purpose
first, you'll eventually find more pleasure than you could have ever gotten if
you had disregarded the front-line role of purpose.
So, I say when you choose to love and stay with someone, you don't
go back on your decision or have regrets especially when purpose was your first
priority rather than pleasure. Like today's scripture says, you put everything
on the line in order to follow that conviction in your spirit. It won't be long
before you realize the sacrifice was worth it.
Keep Loving,Keep Living.............LOVE ISSUES.
