LOVE'S STANDARD

There are three things that are hard for me to understand—really, four things that I don’t understand: an eagle flying in the sky, a snake moving on a rock, a ship moving across the ocean, and a man in love with a woman.


When people think about love especially what exists two people in a love relationship, you can almost tell what's in their minds. They think of all the feelings that the pleasant thoughts bring followed by the different beautiful deeds that accompany its expression all for the one they hold so dear. While all these are not bad, the truth remains that many people do not understand love. Little wonder even in the Bible, as seen in in the opening verse, Solomon the teacher, a man who had 1000 women to himself, calls it a phenomenon that he couldn't understand. With all his wisdom in life he just could not wrap his brain around it or give a sound explanation.

Being in love is designed by God to be such a beautiful thing if we see and go about it as God intends and directs but it becomes a frustration when we do it the way we please. The eternal standard for love in more cases than one remains Christ and the church. Our understanding of love would deepen if we really understood the relationship between Christ and the church. The love between two persons is supposed to produce more and more peace and happiness as the years go by, just as the relationship between Christ and the church in time to come would culminate in a marriage feast, sealing the love affair between us and Christ. Then we shall live happily ever after for eternity with Christ the One with whom we have to do.

True Love is a beauty. It's perhaps the most wonderful thing that could happen to two persons and keep them forever happy and that's if they choose to. Unfortunately, many people have chosen to learn from and follow the system of the world. The world has taught the opposite of what God intends in films and movies and novels and has deceived many but one Book which has stood the test of time has all the secrets to finding true love and staying happily ever after and it's my pleasure to keep dishing you words and wisdom from it that you also come to have that blessed hope for true love both in this life and in the life to come.
