"People who are attracted to you because of your pretty face or nice body won't be with you forever. But the people who can see how beautiful your heart is will never leave you" - Unknown

Proverb 27:19 (NLT)
As a face is reflected in water,
so the heart reflects the real person.

As I read through the opening quote, a couple of scripture verses came to mind and I wondered which would best suit the message that's therein and help buttress the meaning impregnated in it. I chose to settle for the verse above because it carries so much truth about the heart of a human. Truly speaking, you cannot truly know a person by their face. Little wonder the Lord says He looks at the heart of man and not the outward appearance, such as what man looks like and/or does. In not missing it when it comes to making the choice for a life partner, you have to learn to look at what God looks at, the heart.

I've always known that etymological species of life's physiological structure like to oscillate together in the same frequency (in other words, birds of the same feather flock together), hence a number of people only want to have friends that match their status either in terms of wealth, class or appearance. But there is something better to look out for in making a choice for who you'll spend your life with. Outward beauty is good but inner beauty is much better. Focus more on enhancing your inner beauty. This is what this blog is about, helping you upgrade that priceless jewel of a sweet spirit until you become and remain sweet just like Jesus is.

A beautiful heart is one that's serenaded with true love. Such an individual is priceless. Instead of chasing after physical perishables, I encourage you to go for such hearts in people. If you do you will have wholesome friendships and relationships. You need to ask yourself if you have the friends you have because of what you get or enjoy from them. You see, for friendships and relationships that stand the test of time, choose based on the inner beauty of the heart. Also, for your relationship to last the test of time and to remain sweet, focus on always improving the beauty of your inner person. You can do this by taking pleasure in serving others, in being the greater giver, in giving preference to your partner, in out-loving your partner etc.
