I heard a story of a young married woman who when growing up didn't see any reason for love because she grew up in an environment where there was nothing one could describe as real love. As the only girl among three brothers, she would be the one to console her mum after her dad had maltreated and abused her both verbally and physically. This young lady grew seeing the world from a certain angle and she carried this mindset till she got into the university. She concluded that all men were wicked and that she would deal with the men who would come to ask her for a date whether they were serious or not. She happened to do exactly what she had planned to the extent that she was nicknamed 'the iron lady'. It didn't matter to her what names she was called as long as she dispersed the anger and strong dislike she had accumulated over the years against men.

On one fateful day in her penultimate school year, she met a 'joker' as she called him because of the way he treated her so sweetly and always came back close to her no matter how much she pushed him away with all her psychological weapons. No matter what she did, he wasn't changing his mind about her. He believed she would be his wife and was patient enough to lead her gently into accepting true love. This eventually released the best part of her. It broke the hardness and resistance that had been built within her over time. Her paradigm changed. After they got engaged, one day she asked him what made him persist and never give up on her and his reply was just beautiful. He said, ''I had seen your heart was tender but was being masked and I believed that if you were given true love, your heart will start to love all over again''. He admitted that the courage and strength to love her unconditionally came from the Father.

I love quotes like today's. The truth is, finding yourself by receiving the the Love of God through Christ Jesus is the first step to finding the right person. Doing this means you're allowing God direct you and He alone knows the right makeup in the opposite sex that suits you. So, let Him find you and find for you that person you need. True love is beautiful. You may have had ill experiences just like the lady in today s story but as you open your heart more to God s love in spite of what your experiences have been, He'll bring someone wonderful into your life who will cherish you and treat you as a queen/king. He'll bless you with a person who despite your flaws and imperfections will say to you, My darling, you are altogether beautiful and there is no blemish in you.
