THE THING CALLED DEPRESSION

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.  1 Peter 5:6-7


Desiring Love.
Love is magical. Love is a burning desire, that makes your heart light on fire. Love is being with someone you crazy about, someone saying I love you too. Love is having a tender kiss, something you never want to miss. Love is you and me, and that is all I need.
Hmm, these are words that can melt the heart of any lady and also rekindle passion in a guy.  That's how strong love is, to the extent so many believe love is a strong feeling or a complex emotion that can not be compared with any other but if you have stuck with me for some time now you'll know Love isn't any of these . Unfortunately the misappropriate knowledge of what Love really is has led many to  a kind of darkness that is  worse than anything one can imagine. That thing my friend is called  Depression.

 Faces of Depression.
Being depressed can lead to a number of poor personality traits.  The first is being desperate for love . Depression and desperation go hand in hand. They have made so many people  choose the wrong relationships . Having waited for a while and not getting who the really desire, they opt for for someone they know deep down isn't good for them,who have got little or nothing to do with their lives purpose. Sometimes they giving the excuse of 'they ll change' after getting married but unfortunately, marriage doesn't change anyone. If people don't get their attitudes right before marriage they won't get it right after either.

Before depression comes self-pity. Just because all your friends are getting hooked up in what looks like promising relationships or even getting  married and then it seems yours isn't coming through as you expected, this has now made you loose confidence in yourself. This state you have brought upon yourself had just made matters worse.  It's going to affect your confidence level and when it does, then the trust and faith you have in yourself drops bringing about  poor mental images of yourself and that affects everything about you.

One last thing that being depressed does is to make one look cheap and low-minded in the statues of relationships. No one who sees something of great  worth and can afford it, goes for something completely the opposite. We all like good things. People want to be with someone they know has a level of positive self image. When you start to act cheap then you start to sound, look and talk cheap and that doesn't amount to anything good.

Look to Jesus
We have not been made with the mark of depression.  When God created the earth, He said everything was good, how much more you? God's word says that you are wonderfully and  fearfully made meaning, when one sees you, they should stare in awesome amazement as you reflect the beautiful image of whom you were created into. Every thing about you from your personality to your character to your spirit and soul was made perfect. Although sin came into the world and changed that state but thank God for Jesus Christ, you can get it all back, better and sweeter. Never look down or pity yourself no matter what happens. If love doest find you now it only means you are not ready. Get knowledge and more knowledge on love, relationships and marriage.

If you are in a state right now that seems like that of  depression,  no matter how you got there, it's time you embrace a God's Word about you. Only you can make a difference in your life, no one is going to do that for you. Get to  infuse these words as it's written in the opening text and search out many more to drive off this darkness called depression. You will not  only look all brand new, you will magnet the right people into your life. Give it a try and see your life take on supernatural beauty.
