YOU CAN FIND TRUE LOVE.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;

A couple of days ago, I gladly stumbled over an interview on You-Tube that was done on the man who acted the character of Jesus Christ in the film 'The Passion of the Christ'.
As I watched on, I was fascinated by how God had used an actor to bring many to the life of Christ through the film. More so, how his life, Jim Caviezel had changed for good by accepting to take upon that role.

In the interview, Jim Caviezel had mentioned quite a couple of things he suffered such as the separation of his left shoulder snapping back and forth into this joint, to getting struck by a lightening which for him was a blessing just tasting a tiny weeny amount of what the Lord Jesus suffered for us.  Yes, Christ Jesus didn't have to die for us to be saved as He could have called upon a legion of angels to rescue him or as God, He could have thought of a less painful and traumatic way to save the whole world but no,  He chose to die a terrible death and be hung on a cross, all for one thing, to demonstrate the love He has for us.

Seeing the way Christ has loved us even while we were yet sinners He died for our justification and interestingly is still so crazy for us just as you can see in the way His word commands men to love their wives in our opening verse. We have the perfect example of the kind of Love we should look out for even when going into a relationship. Yes I know no human being is perfect, but I can tell you two ways how to be near perfect, first is to accept this great love bestowed on us by Christ Jesus and live for him, and also choose to love everyone else the way he has loved us.

Real Love has been expressed in its highest form to us in the person of Christ Jesus and so when I see people go into love relationships for all the wrong reasons and still justify it by saying they fell in love, it makes me sad.  Genuine love doesn't hurt and make you less of a person as many have become punching bags to their partners, genuine love doesn't give you headaches and fears,  it doesn't make you have doubts of what the future holds in your relationship, it doesn't take away your rest of mind or peace of heart, genuine love does not belittle anyone or take away their confidence.

Your marriage can be sweet, your love relationship can be as beautiful as the lilies of the valley, your courtship can be so good giving you an awesome hope of a wonderful union to be if only we would look and choose the kind of Love that Christ Jesus has shown us in our respective partners. For some do think it's impossible to get the kind of love that is sacrificial, kind, patient, humble and sweet in relationships but the truth is that's exactly what Christ wants us to experience in our relationships with our spouses because He has proven to us that it can exist if only we will love on Him, choose to live for Him, wait and trust Him to bring to us one that has Him as the core of their existence and enjoy a beautiful relationship that brings praise and glory to His name. Yes, It is possible and it's my prayer we find that person that reminds us of Christ's love. Enjoy the peace of God's love this season.
