I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
Song of Solomon 2:7(KJV)

''I just can't wait to get married''.I remember these words echoing inside of me when I was younger.
Back then, I had watched how couples especially those who had just gotten married have a high level of public display of affection, with the holding of hands, the whispering into their ears and the laughs they shared, the affectionate kissing that made me so long for my own man. Did I even know what it really meant to be married??  All I just wanted was to have someone to love me, kiss me, make me happy like I saw in the movies forgetting the huge responsibility that came with it.

It's the same thing I see with  ladies these days. Because almost  everyone around them is getting married, they do anything to get married as fast as possible obviously bitten by the marriage bug which like the toxin of a bug, makes you forget about the cares of the  whole body making you just concentrate on the small inflamed round puffy bump of the bite which after you have administered an ointment, it goes back to normal. What am I trying to say? marriage is not a do or die affair. I know what it feels like for you to be in a marriageable age and yet there's no one you are in a serious relationship with, yeah take a chill pill.

Have you read and studied all you need to know about making a successful marriage both from scriptures and from books?  Have you  developed yourself to become a marriage material?  It's not everyone that has what it takes to make a marriage work, just because you have got a hot body, fine car and nice job doesn't put your marriage on the path of success. People need to be reminded again and again, marriage is not child's play. Marriage isn't all about sex. Marriage isn't for selfish people. Don't let that marriage bug bite you, pushing you to make a grievous mistake of rushing into marriage without having the right foundation. Be committed  to be different and go all out for knowledge putting your emotions under control.

There's a whole lot to be said on this matter which can not be said in just one post but I would like to drop some lines of a spoken word posted last year on this blog, I will leave you with some of the lines, I hope you can go back  and read all on it. It was titled '' Marry Up''.  I know it will minister to you only read it with an open mind, like you have never heard or read any thing on the subject of marriage before. May you find that right person  tailor-made for you.

Don't waste your emotional energies on people who just want to be in a romantic cloud but have no respect for truth and its impact on the issues of life.

Romance is good but yes, marry someone who also loves the content of the book of Romans.

Beauty is a disaster except she loves Jesus Christ with a passion and is eager to grow in the knowledge of Him.

Being handsome is great only if he loves Jesus Christ with a passion and is eager to grow in the knowledge of Him.

Keep Loving, Keep Living........ LOVE ISSUES.
