"Hi Dunni, how are you doing? Yesterday I waited for your reply to my request that we both should have lunch together at the Eko Hotel and Suites". As Dunni read the message on her iPhone 3G button she was trying hard to remember who this was, much more if she had any inkling of what he was saying.
"I hope I can pick you up in the next hour?, my precious Beauty

"Ohhh"; Dunni exclaimed, she had suddenly recollected who it was. "Oh my! this guy won't just let me be," she said under her breath and a gesture. Unknowingly to her, Linda her BFF who came visiting had been watching her facial expressions and asked.
"Hey babe, what's the matter? " "Nah, its nothing serious" replied Dunni. "It's just that I forgot to reply Deji's request for lunch yesterday". Linda knew her friend was at it again.
"Dunni, why do you keep treating him consistent up that who knew how Deji was and was bent on starting a serious relationship with Dunni but she kept discouraging him.
"What?! Linda please don't even start abeg. You know I barely have time for myself. I am building my empire. I have a lot of businesses and I don't want any man to distract me. Besides men are scum. All they want is to get between your legs, drain you financially and emotionally and in the end, won't even commit to marrying you. So please ehn, I don't even have their time".
While surfing through Instagram a couple of weeks back, I came across a post of a lady who consistently had put up posts and comments that were very indignant to men.
Speaking from experience, i presume; she had said a lot of nasty comments about men stating that most were scumbags and were all the same. She was telling and discouraging ladies or her followers not to have any serious relationship with guys, that most were out there to destroy emotionally. She stated she was never going to have anything to do with any guy ever again and if she needed to have a love relationship, she might at least go for the same-sex relationship.
Funny isn't it? well, these things happen and a lot of people especially when disappointed from a previous relationship tend to make very bad decisions or choices that worsen their situation. But interestingly, In Dunni's case, Dr. Deji kept shooting his shots steadily and all her defense mechanisms came crashing down. And guess what, she became pregnant for him.
Same results with the social media slay queen who kept dishing how to deal with the 'Yoruba- demons'. And because she is an influencer who needs to influence her followers and make a post about anything and everything in her life( be it right or wrong, actually they care less) she makes a post of her baby shower claiming to be ready for the new life of a single mum that's about to begin.
Well, you all can only imagine the uproar and reactions from both the men and followers alike. One comment that got me was, " So yesterday you posted and rained all sorts of insults on men and today, you are telling us you are about to be a mother; Isn't a man the father of the child, how ignorant can you be?"
In today's world, unfortunately quite a lot of people live in other people's reality. They choose to accept and believe the words, actions, and dispositions of people they claim to be their idol or influencer as the case is, accepting it as a pattern for their own lives. It's pertinent to understand that a woman was created for a man and not the other way round. A woman can not do without a man but a true man can do without a woman; Paul did.
Women are created to be love receivers and responders. They were made to function optimally when there is a hundred-degree saturation of tender loving care. It was the Intention of The Maker for every woman to be joined to a responsible man who understood the blueprint of his life's purpose and destiny. She is called a helpmeet because it's her designation and a calling to be joined with a man assisting him in becoming a complete success. She is not Woe to Man as many say today, but has always been a Wonder to Man as the Creator fashioned her.
So when ladies tend to act like a boss especially when in singlehood, it's alright and all good and but it's not meant to last for long. And don't accept the lie that real men are scarce, or you have to be a second or a third wife in a polygamous setting to be a married you; virtuous women never have that thinking, talk less of becoming one. And just as it was told to Elijah that there are over 7000 who have not kissed Baal, so it is with godly men.
Quit thinking less of yourself, you were created to be loved and cherished by a faithful man. Just because you have waited so long (besides who says you have) or one-what-ever "demon" broke your heart or you are divorced or separated, even widowed, doesn't mean you lost your value. Don't allow fake influencers to distort your thinking. If they are not following Christ hook, line, and sinker, you shouldn't be renting their social media space in yours. If the Word isn't their final Authority, you should look away.
It's time to put your head up, your face bright and your shoulders square. C.S Lewis said, "Let your heart be so close to God that a man would have to be so deep in HIM to find you". And its never too late to begin, if you have been hurt before, you can shine like the brightness of the heavens again. You deserve the best love no matter what. See you yourself as the best, always.
