"Choose your love, Love your choice." - Thomas S. Monson
1 Tim. 6:6
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
A young man in a country far away from where his parents lived was faced with the reality of having to "settle down". He had tried to develop friendships with a few ladies around where he worked but had observed that most of them were just after his wealth. He encountered all manner of character problems from these ladies and so he thought to himself that getting a good woman that could pass as a wife material would easily come from his father, as he remembered that his dad was faced with almost the same challenge at his age. So, he went ahead to ask his dad to recommend someone he knew would make a good wife. Today he is married to a beautiful, well-mannered woman who complements him in ways he is truly grateful to his dad for that he knew him so well as to get him such a woman as his wife.
If there is something about stories that I believe, it's that there is none that's actually mere fiction. The reason is because every story must have happened somewhere on the surface of the earth to somebody at a certain time. The story I just shared in the above paragraph reminds me of a similar remarkable Bible story of a man and a woman who were supernaturally brought together and joined as man and wife because the father of the man took it upon himself to search for a woman that would be a good wife for his son. The morale behind today's story is that when it comes to seeking a life partner, true love makes a deliberate and a conscious choice to love someone, it doesn't matter if the person was recommended. What is vital is that the person has a good praiseworthy character and is a true child of God.
Receive such a person with joy and make room for their shortcomings. With humanity comes imperfection but with true love comes the possibility of perfection. The more people are loved, the better they get. True love has a hope that never dies. It keeps expecting the best. True love is not blind, it only continuously and consciously chooses to see and focus on what it wants to see, hoping and believing that the best of one's partner/spouse is going to come. I'd like you to realise today that God can bring someone inti your life through a recommendation. Be open hearted if God so chooses to bless you. Like Isaac, when you meet that precious person, choose to love them and enjoy the beautiful future God has for you both. Be content with them. See the hand of God in bringing you both together. Share this with your friends and loved ones. They should not be narrow minded. Let them open their hearts to the possibility of God blessing them with someone through a recommendation. Have a blessed day!
Keep Loving, Keep Living...............LOVE ISSUES.
