LOVE'S RESIDENCE

Today many people have gone astray and wandered into lost territories all in the name of wanting to get to God. They have embraced and yielded to the many so-called doctrines of men and of devils, cleverly designed and enshrined in different religions. Some have even been taught that God can be reached through mediums of inanimate objects and so on. All these can lead to no truth neither do they have any truth in themselves. But man, in his desperation to find a higher power, has embraced lies that even a dummy can see through. The truth is, fallen man is not smart enough to find God. Again and again he'll get stuck with no answers. Except God reveals Himself to man, his search to find God will always end in futility. The good news though, is that God has revealed Himself already to us in His Son, Jesus Christ. He has shown us that He is Love.

I believe life can be more enjoyable for us all if we all open our hearts to true love. Not only do we get fulfilment in our life's endeavours and journey, but more importantly, we get connected to the Source of all things. For me, I strongly believe that the greatest and highest level of strength is love clothed with humility. You may wonder why. The reason is because life is a race in which we all need some level of strength, strength to go on. Love clothed in humility is one strong combo that keeps you going, gets things done for you and that paves the way for you to soar above your contemporaries. People may not understand our doctrines but they cannot deny our love and humility. Doctrines may look complex to them but they can relate with love and humility. You know, loving people doesn't make you a weakling. It makes you a better person, it fills you with strength and brightens your world. It prepares a better future for you.

As we enter into this last month of the year which many love to sew as the season of love, remember to focus on the loveliness of Christ. Determine to express the kind of love He has shown you to others. Christmas is about true love. God came and lived with man because He was moved by His love. What a radical reality. Like never before, let your heart be motivated by love that is clothed with humility. As a believer in Jesus Christ, you do not lack love. This is what today's focal scripture shows us. Your heart is full of love because you have God's Spirit resident inside you. Your heart has become love's address, love's residence. What you simply have to do is to decide to let love out. So, today, through our eyes, our handshake, our talk and our integrity, let's show people the unconditional love of God. Let's live out the Jesus they have read and heard about.
